Saturday we went to Judy Baily’s house for a jam session. I think they are trying to finalize players for a new band.
It was a fun time as usual with food provided by Judy and her boyfriend Jim. The sax player and the lead guitar were very good and the music was a mix of Cajun, rock and roll and just pickin’.
When we got back to the park, we went to Rich and Terri’s and they set up their WII for bowling. It was a very fun time for all, with sore body’s Sunday morning.
Sunday started off innocently enough….Jim and I wanted to have a steak…real meat…..and settled on about 11am.
I went over to their house with our traditional Sunday morning Bloody Mary’s for me and Bobbie, and she was making a pineapple upside down cake for happy hour. She mistakenly opened two cans of crushed pineapple instead of a can of sliced and did not know what to do with the crushed………….. Terri to the rescue. She brought over her blender and a bottle of Captain Morgan rum and they made drinks.
After brunch, the party moved outside, than the music came out, Cajun and Zydeco, and we keep making drinks and before you knew it there were about 12 people carrying on. Bobbie and Terry both had way too many cocktails. Bobbie crashed and Linda and Terri steamrolled her and got her back up in time for Betty’s gumbo…but Terri missed dinner. All in all , a great day.
The other day we went to Mulate’s restaurant in Beaux Bridge. They are known for their traditional food and music. I think everyone but me had stuffed crab.
Today we may go to Avery Island to the Tabasco plant.
Have a great day.
love to ya
Jim and Linda
